Role Overview
As a Companion Support Worker at DLC Care, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals through regular visits, meaningful interaction, and emotional reassurance. This is a non-medical companionship role, focused on providing social and emotional support to help individuals feel connected, valued, and less alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing friendly companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations.
- Visiting individuals in their homes and creating a comfortable, supportive environment.
- Going with individuals on walks, shopping trips, appointments, and community outings.
- Supporting hobbies, interests, and daily routines.
- Encouraging independence while offering the right support.
- Helping reduce loneliness and social isolation.
- Building trusting, respectful, and professional relationships.
